The Destiny of President Trump
By Tobias Kreiselmaier
I remember well how almost twenty-five years ago the Lord started speaking to me about a significant, but often overlooked, character in the Scriptures. Sitting at my desk, I was studying Isaiah and suddenly certain verses started to shine and even levitated above the Bible.
The person I am talking about is King Cyrus of Persia. One possible translation of this name is based on the meaning of an Indo-European-root “to humiliate” and accordingly “Cyrus” means “humiliator of the enemy in verbal contest.”
Cyrus was born to Cambyses I, King of Anshan. According to Herodotus, Astyages, Cyrus’ maternal grandfather, had two dreams in which a flood, and then a series of fruit-bearing vines, emerged from her pelvis and covered the entire kingdom. These were interpreted by his advisers as a foretelling that his grandson would one day rebel and supplant him as king. Astyages summoned his daughter Mandane, at the time pregnant with Cyrus, back to Ectabana to have the child killed. The task was delegated to Mithradates, one of the shepherds of the king, who raised the child and passed off his stillborn son as the dead infant Cyrus.
Cyrus lived in secrecy, but when he reached the age of ten, during a childhood game, he had the son of a nobleman beaten when he refused to obey Cyrus’ commands. As it was unheard of for the son of a shepherd to commit such an act, Astyages had the boy brought to his court and interviewed him and his adopted father. Upon the shepherd’s confession, Astyages sent Cyrus back to Persia to live with his biological parents and to succeed his father on the throne.
He proceeded by subduing a number of smaller kingdoms to his growing empire, but he never failed to focus on the conquest of his life. He wanted to rule and subdue the greatest empire the world had seen to date: Babylon. The Babylonians were the ones that had conquered most of the known world in the Near East including the southern kingdom of Judah. Their king Nebuchadnezzar destroyed the Jewish temple in 586 BC when Cyrus was not even born.
Furthermore, the Jewish Midrash (commentary) on the book of Esther has the following interesting passage about the end of Nebuchadnezzar:
Rabbi Tanhuma said: Nebuchadnezzar, may he be crushed and exterminated, amassed all the money in the world, and he was very niggardly with it. So when he felt his end approaching, he said to himself: Why should I leave all this money to [my son] Evil-Merodach? So he ordered big ships of brass to be made, and filled them with money and dug trenches and hid them by the Euphrates and turned the waters of the Euphrates over them. On the day that Cyrus decreed that the temple should be built, God revealed them to him, as it says, Thus saith the Lord to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him… that the gates may not be shut; and further on it says, and I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places.i
No one believed Cyrus could conquer the mighty fortress of Babylon, but in 539 BCE he successfully did so, and within only a year from the conquest he found a copy of the Isaiah scroll. The Jewish historian Josephus tells us that the king was moved by the reading of Isaiah by the acknowledgment of the God of Israel, and to the restoration of the Jews, and to the rebuilding of the temple:
This was known to Cyrus by his reading the book which Isaiah left behind him of his prophecies: for this prophet had said that God had spoken thus to him in a secret vision, “My will is that Cyrus, whom I have appointed to be king over many and great nations, send back my people to their own land, and build my temple.” Isaiah foretold this 140 years before the temple was demolished. Accordingly, when Cyrus read this and admired the divine power of the prophetic word, an earnest desire and ambition came upon him to fulfill what was so written; so he called for the most eminent Jews that were in Babylon, and said to them, that he gave them leave to go back to their own country, and to rebuild their city Jerusalem and the temple of their God.ii
The achievements of Cyrus the Great throughout antiquity are reflected in the way he is remembered today. His own nation, the Iranians, have regarded him as “The Father,” the very title that had been used during the time of Cyrus himself by the many nations that he conquered. The Greek historian Xenophon writes:
And those who were subject to him, he treated with esteem and regard, as if they were his own children, while his subjects themselves respected Cyrus as their “Father.” What other man but ‘Cyrus’, after having overturned an empire, ever died with the title of “The Father” from the people whom he had brought under his power? For it is plain fact that this is a name for one that bestows, rather than for one that takes away!iii
John Wesley also was very much impressed by the character of King Cyrus as he read his story in Xenophon’s record:
But what a beautiful picture does he draw of Cyrus! What an understanding! And what tempers! Did ever a Heathen come up to this? Not since the world began. Few, exceeding few, even of the best instructed Christians have attained so unblamable a character.iv
In the 1970s, the Shah of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi identified a famous proclamation inscribed onto an artifact called the Cyrus Cylinder as the oldest known declaration of human rights, and the Cylinder has since been popularized as such.
Neil MacGregor, Director of the British Museum, currently the home of the Cylinder, has stated that it was “the first attempt we know about running a society, a state with different nationalities and faiths—a new kind of statecraft.” He explained, “It has even been described as the first declaration of human rights, and while this was never the intention of the document—the modern concept of human rights scarcely existed in the ancient world—it has come to embody the hopes and aspirations of many.”v Cyrus has been a personal hero to many people, including Thomas Jefferson, one of the founding fathers of the United States and David Ben-Gurion, the primary founding father of the modern state of Israel.
Let us now look more closely at the passage from Isaiah that had such a powerful impact on the king:
Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and He…
who confirms the word of His servant, and performs the counsel of His messengers; who says to Jerusalem, `You shall be inhabited,’ to the cities of Judah, `You shall be built,’ and I will raise up her waste places; who says to the deep, `Be dry! And I will dry up your rivers’;
who says of Cyrus, `He is My shepherd, and he shall perform all My pleasure, saying to Jerusalem, “You shall be built,” and to the temple, “Your foundation shall be laid”‘ (see Isaiah 44:24, 26-28).
Remember, this passage was written two hundred and ten years before King Cyrus read it in the palace of Babylon. How did the God of the Jewish people know his name in advance? How did he know that the king would grow up as a shepherd before becoming king?
What comes next is God giving Cyrus a direct command:
- Enable the restoration of Jerusalem!
- Enable the restoration of the Jewish Temple!
Isaiah continues:
Thus says the LORD to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have held—to subdue nations before him and loose the armor of kings, to open before him the double doors, so that the gates will not be shut:
`I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron (Isaiah 45:1-2).
Only days before Cyrus read this line he had been in the field in the front of the mightiest fortress of ancient times. Babylon was famous for the chariot races that were held on top of the city walls. It was said that three chariots could drive beside each other on its crown. That’s what Cyrus was facing. Debating with his generals, God inspired the Persians to find the only weak spot in that construction.
The Euphrates River was flowing through the city and was the main source of drinking water for the vast population. Cyrus had his soldiers dig a new bed for the river letting the waters run around the walls, while he and his soldiers were now able to crawl through the old river bed and get into the enemies headquarter, opening the gates from inside they took the entire Empire by storm in a single night.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, am the God of Israel. (Isaiah 45:3)
Mastering the river once, inspired the king to dig again and this is how he found the treasures of Nebuchadnezzar as we already saw recorded in the Middrash.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, am the God of Israel (Isaiah 45:3).
Mastering the river once inspired the king to dig again and this is how he found the treasures of Nebuchadnezzar as we already saw recorded in the Middrash.
For Jacob My servant’s sake, and Israel My elect, I have even called you by your name; I have named you, though you have not known Me.
I am the LORD, and there is no other; there is no God besides Me. I will gird you, though you have not known Me (Isaiah 45:4-5).
God raised Cyrus up, even before he personally knew Him. God is greater than our understanding of someone raising their hand in a service when all heads are bowed to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or filling in a response card after a crusade. He is much greater than that!
I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways; He shall build My city and let My exiles go free, not for price nor reward,”says the LORD of hosts. Thus says the LORD: “The labor of Egypt and merchandise of Cush And of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over to you, and they shall be yours; they shall walk behind you, they shall come over in chains; and they shall bow down to you. They will make supplication to you, saying, `Surely God is in you, and there is no other; there is no other God'” (Isaiah 45:13-14).
Here the Lord repeats His orders. They are too important to be overlooked:
- Enable the restoration of Jerusalem!
- Release my people!
God promised Cyrus a great reward for obeying Him. The Lord truly gave Cyrus and the following Persian rulers authority over additional countries, which included:
- Egypt
- Ethiopia (Cush)
- Saudi Arabia (Sabeans)
Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, `My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure,’ calling a bird of prey from the east, the man who executes My counsel, from a far country. Indeed I have spoken it; I will also bring it to pass. I have purposed it; I will also do it (Isaiah 46:10-11)
It is so amazing how God knows the outcome from the beginning—the final judgment, before the first day of creation, and the life of Cyrus, before he was born. The king used the symbol of the eagle as a standard for his armies. That’s why he is here called the bird of prey. Susa, the capital of Persia is almost exactly east of Babylon.
There is an interesting story in an Apocrypha called “Bel and the Dragon” in which King Cyrus gradually opens up his heart to Daniel and the God of Israel. There was a close relationship between Daniel and Cyrus, which probably led to Cyrus confessing faith in the God of Israel having been a monotheist ever since as he was used to worshiping solely his god Marduk.
So far history, but what is happening in more recent years? The country of Israel and the temple were not only destroyed by the Babylonians in the 6th century before Christ, but again in 70 CE by the Roman Empire.
Around the time that the famous Cyrus Cylinder was rediscovered (1880), a young boy was growing up in England to eventually become an influential politician and Nobel Prize winning writer. Winston Churchill was the man who led the allied nations in the 1940s against the great evil of Nazi Germany. Just like Cyrus released Nehemiah with all of the resources and the political and military backing to restore the city of Jerusalem, so to were Churchill and Ben-Gurion empowered to bring the Jewish state back into existence and declare its independence on 5/14/1948. Remember, the Lord had instructed Cyrus to rebuild the land, the city, and the temple. Churchill and Ben-Gurion only took the first two steps.
This is where we come to the present day. Winston Churchill is dead. David Ben-Gurion died. Donald Trump is alive and so is Benjamin Netanyahu. Donald J. Trump will become the 45th President (pointing to Isaiah 45) of the United States on 1/20/2017, the day when he will be seventy years, seven months, and seven days old.
Around Christmas time last year, I had a dream in which I explained the life and calling of King Cyrus to President Trump in a large room in Camp David. I explained to him that Churchill had only fulfilled the first half of the command and that God had called him, the President of the United States, to fulfill the other part: The continuation and completion of Jewish Aliyah to Israel and the enabling of the rebuilding of the temple in Jerusalem! This is going to be an amazing and history making event just like ancient times when the Jews around Ezra under the ministry of the prophets Haggai and Zechariah did with the second temple.
The building of a third temple is not only alluded to in Scripture, but it is actually necessary for biblical prophecy to be fulfilled and for the eventual return of Jesus to planet earth to rule and reign in the Millennium. The coming of the Lord is not imminent as some say. Before He can come, some very tangible things must take place:
- The signs of the End-Times such as earthquakes, famines, (Matt 24)
- The fulfillment of the Great (Matt 24:14)
- The building of a third temple in (Dan 12:11; Matt 24:15; 2 Thess 2:3-4)
- The salvation of the entire nation of Egypt (Is 19:21-22)
- The salvation of all of Israel (Rom 11:26)
All of these things will happen in this generation. But now is the time for the restoration of the temple. God has waited seventy years, but now he is calling President Trump to issue a decree just like King Cyrus:
Thus says Cyrus king of Persia: All the kingdoms of the earth the LORD God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May the LORD his God be with him, and let him go up! (II Chronicles 36:23
In my dream, I saw how Donald Trump understood this divine assignment and how he left the room in which we had been discussing the same Scriptures that we have been discussing in this article. Outside, there was a pulpit with the great seal of the United States and flags of Israel and the U.S. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was already waiting there. He took the President’s hand and shook it, and then they both announced that they will now sign a historic agreement which includes favorable conditions for all American Jews to immigrate to Israel and for the U.S. to give unrelenting military and
political protection so Israel can build the temple and celebrate its inauguration at the 70th anniversary of the founding of the modern state on 5/14/2018.
So what did really happen on 11/9/2016? It was shortly after 2.00 a.m. that Donald Trump reached two hundred seventy four electoral votes and was thereby made President Elect. The Lord delayed this for one day, because He had a message for Donald Trump and everyone around the world:
“It was not a coincidence that I chose you! I am reversing the curse that has come over the United States on 9/11/2001! That curse is broken! ISIS will be defeated, the Jews will make Aliyah, the temple will be built, and America will be blessed again in every way you can imagine! 9/11 will not be remembered anymore. People will look back and say: 11/9 is where the blessing started.”
Why will we be blessed? Because we will first bless Israel with a decree that will release them from their mourning for the loss of the temple. Very soon, the Jews will no longer wail and pray to God for a temple. Instead, they will build it with great joy and under the anointed words of God’s prophets! Then the Lord said to me:
“The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts. `And in this place, I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts (Haggai 2:9).
When Ezra first built the second temple, there was a lot of discouragement and lamenting about the size and simplicity of what they were able to build in their days compared to the glory of the temple of Solomon. But the Lord had a different perspective. While the first temple only had the cloud of the glory of God and the Ark of the Covenant in it, the second temple had the incarnated Son of God walking, preaching, and teaching in it as we can see throughout all four Gospels!
As stated before, the events of the last days require for a third temple to be constructed. The antichrist will eventually defile it just like the Greek King Antiochus Epiphanes defiled the second temple with the “Abomination of Desolation” (he slaughtered pigs on the Brazen Altar and sprinkled their blood all around in the temple), so will the antichrist do in a similar way as prophesied by Daniel (see Daniel 12:11). Like Antiochus, the antichrist will also take his seat in the Holy of Holies and require the Jews and the world to worship him as God (2see II Thessalonians 2:3-4).
But this is not the end and this is not the destiny of the third temple. The Prophet Ezekiel tells us in the last nine chapters of his book that Jesus will come and restore that temple, sanctify and enlarge it, and use it in the Messianic kingdom which will start after His return.
The word from Haggai will also apply to the third temple: Even though its beginning will be insignificant and there will even be a time of defilement, it will eventually be the most glorious temple of all times as Jesus Himself will live and minister in it as our great High Priest (see Hebrews 9:11) for one thousand years to come.
I was traveling in Chicago at the time the Lord revealed all of this to me. A couple of days prior, the Chicago Cubs had won the World Series after the longest drought in the history of baseball. Their last win had been in 1908, the time at which the last truly great revival in Azusa Street, Los Angeles had pretty much ended. The Lord was also saying to me that just as the time of mourning for the Cubs was over, so is the time of hoping and praying for revival coming to an end. This will be true for the believers in Chicago, the United States, and around the world. Historic revival will come! The Great Commission will be fulfilled soon! Egypt and Israel will be saved and the temple will be built!
Two weeks ago I posted the following image on Facebook, which shows the heavens over Washington, D.C. during the night of the electionvi:
The Sun and the Messenger Planet (Mercury) were both located in the constellation of the Scales (Libra). This is the clear message that was written in the sky: This is the night where the old government and their candidate were weighed by God and found too light (sinful). As their scale went up, so Donald Trump’s scale went down and the Presidency was given to him.
The very same thing happened the night when God took world domination from the Babylonians and handed it over to Cyrus. His hand appeared on the wall of the king’s palace and wrote the following famous words:
And this is the inscription that was written: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.
This is the interpretation of each word. MENE: God has numbered your [Belshazzar’s] kingdom, and finished it;
TEKEL: You have been weighed in the balances and found wanting; PERES: Your kingdom has been divided, and given to the Medes and Persians (Daniel 5:25-28).
History repeats itself! So let us be among those who understand it and align ourselves with what the Lord has for the years ahead of us:
- Just as Cyrus became a father to the Persians and many other nations, so will Donald Trump be considered a father to the United States and other nations.
- Just as Cyrus was a powerful speaker and humiliated his opponents verbally, so has and will Donald Trump do with all those that stand against him.
- Just as Cyrus found hidden treasures of the Babylonians, so will Donald Trump tap into some unexpected resources of the Globalists and redeem it for us, the people.
- Just as Cyrus had a habit of blessing his friends, so is Donald Trump a hidden champion of blessing those that come across his path.
- Just as Cyrus ended the Babylonian domination of the world, so will Donald Trump take down the strategies and strongholds connected to the devil’s strategy to set up a One World Government (at least for some time).
- Just as Cyrus was found worthy by God’s Scales and Belshazzar unworthy, so was Donald Trump found worthy and the Democratic Party found unworthy on Election Day.
- Just as Cyrus, Ezra, and Nehemiah restored the temple and the nation of Israel two thousand five hundred years ago, so will it happen again through Churchill, Trump, Ben-Gurion, and Netanyahu.
