CMM Theology in my words

A) Systematic theology is the study of God by studying many various doctrines (teachings) of the subjects in an organized way. It includes classification and study one topic after another in a structured pattern. It helps people to see why denominations believe what they believe. It helps easier to discern heresies.

B)) Biblical theology is a different approach to study God. It gets into the narrative of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. It keeps careful awareness not to link or mix things from one book of the Bible to another if there is no solid object to connect and create a doctrine. It helps to see the wholeness of the beauty, power and wisdom of God throughout the Bible: one unified story about one person Jesus Christ.

C) The comparison. I can’t say which is a better way. It depends on the learning nature of an intellect and the need of learners for his sphere of influence.

D) Theologian is someone who competently studies theology to a doctoral / Ph.D. level, and capable of interpreting his understanding to the audiences of the Bible and to the world in intellectual way. Any path (systematic or biblical) of theology study makes this happen.

E) Revelatory study happens when someone who gets the gracious enlightenment from the Holy Spirit personally as he searches out the truth in his learning journey of life. This study relies on the Holy Spirit as the revelator. It honors the trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit contrary to those who embrace the trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Scripture.

F) The Great Commission and Theology. Theology is always meant to empower the Great Commission. I think it is the wrong outcomes when graduates become masters of critics bashing brethren who believe different from them even though they adhere to the basic tenets of faith, and causing hurts and divisions in the body of Christ. So I keep teaching theology equipping students to reach a level more than what they could dream of in the path of fruitful work of the Holy Spirit following the Great Commission of Christ for the glory of the Father.

G) I see the students empowered in their fields of calling like never before. I am not saying CMM COT is better than other paths but it has great distinctives and results. CMM Myanmar studies Biblical Theology in revelatory way in equipping the saints for a huge part in the Great Commission.
