Associate of Christian Counseling
The Associate of Christian Counseling program at CMM College of Theology offers a broad introduction to Christian counseling concepts and methods through coursework, class discussion, research, and practice. This 60-credit-hour program emphasizes both knowledge and experience. Students will begin to establish a strong biblical foundation for counseling. They gain essential personal and professional skills as they learn about the roles and responsibilities in Christian counseling. Students discover how to partner with God and be guided by the Holy Scripture for effective and redemptive counseling. This enables ministry to the heart of man from the heart of God. Rich in spiritual formation, this program equips students with a greater understanding of their identity in Christ and their unique call to counsel. In this hands-on program, students complete 225 hours of supervised practicum. Students will also submit a final paper.
Two levels of education are offered: a 60-credit-hour Associate of Christian Counseling Degree or a 30-credit-hour Associate Certificate in Christian Counseling.
CMM College of Theology was founded by Dr. Jorge Parrott, President of CM Missions, our global missions organization. Students from various nations are often in our classes and many build lifelong friendships.

The Associate of Christian Counseling program is accredited by the Association of Independent Christian Colleges and Seminaries (AICCS).
Goals
- Growth in spiritual maturity as students seek greater revelation of their identity in Christ.
- Foundational concepts and methods of Christian counseling are implemented.
- Students will intentionally utilize Christian counseling concepts and skills in a training environment.
- Students will distinguish the different roles and responsibilities of the counselor, the counselee, and the Lord in counseling relationships.
Prerequisites
High School Diploma/GED; Born Again Experience, Proficient in Prerequisite: English (if you are not proficient in English, there may be an additional class & small fee).
Graduation Requirements
60 undergraduate credit hours as listed in this section with a 2.00 GPA of 4.00.
